About the business and the role
We are a busy real estate sign business that services Canberra and surrounds, looking for a Sign installer/workshop assistant to join our small team. Your role will include building and preparing signs, general workshop activities and installing signs on location. This role requires repetitive and manual work.
This position is permanent part time 16-24 hours per week, with Thursday's and Friday's a must. Additional hours and days negotiable.
You must have a positive, hardworking attitude, and be reliable and flexible.
Skills required
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be hardworking, reliable and flexible. Have good communication skills and be presentable.
- Have the ability to problem solve and think on your feet, work unsupervised and use common sense.
- Have a good sense of direction, and familiarity with Canberra suburbs.
- Have excellent customer service skills, and be comfortable liaising with clients.
- Hold a manual drivers licence with a clean driving record. And be able to drive a small truck, and tow a trailer
- Be physically fit, able to handle manual and repetitive work.
- Have experience with power tools, including drills and saws. And the ability to apply these hands-on skills in a safe and practical way.
Previous sign installation and sign building experience, or working in a workshop/ trade environment would be highly regarded.
