About The Role

Supply Chain Manager - SRDC | A Fresh New Direction

A senior career opportunity has become available for an accomplished leader. Reporting to the State Manager this is a position that requires huge capability at an enormous scale.

As the Supply Chain Manager, your primary purpose is to oversee all functions including business performance, safety, service level and financial expectations, with a huge emphasis on people and team culture.

A summary of additional responsibilities will include however not be limited to:

  • Management of budget

  • Ensure adherence to the supply chain framework

  • Create an environment of shared leadership

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives

  • Promote people strategies across the DC to facilitate ongoing development

  • Actively participate in the planning, development and implementation of a broad range of new initiatives

  • Develop, manage and execute the business plan and costs for the DC

  • Ensure that ‘Chain of Responsibility’ legislative requirements are adhered to

  • Implement nationally agreed processes and procedures

  • Manage the receiving capability of the DC’s across the region through working with the replenishment team and national transport

  • Maintain and build partnering relationships with Internal and external stakeholders

  • Champion the C1C program within the region and site

Together with demonstrated success in a similar role and your ability to influence , we are seeking the following skills and experience:  

  • Supply Chain or Manufacturing operational history

  • Extensive proof of change management skills

  • Ability to give successful strategic examples in the workplace

  • Experience in leading LARGE numbers of front line team members

  • Comprehensive Industrial Relations collaboration and knowledge

  • High level of communication skills

  • Calming and inspiring nature

  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and networking skills

  • Ability to deliver high quality outputs under pressure

  • High ability to analyses information to identify, manage and mitigate risks; identifies the root causes of risks and escalates issues where required

  • Ability to consult and share the impact of business decisions across Woolworths to ensure processes are seamless for the customer
