This organisation is a leading manufacturer of road transportation vehicles who provide global customers with a wide range of semi-trailers, auto parts and sales / service. Annual sales are on the rise supported strongly by a dedication to the design, manufacture and distribution of Transportation Equipment for Australian transport logistics partners.
Role:
- Extensive hands on experience and knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D software including Solidworks
- Provide technical support across all stages of the new product design process
- Selection of appropriate material and OEM suppliers for regulatory requirements such as quality, cost and lead time
- Broad ranging inter-office and on- site interaction with areas including Production, Operations and Sales
- Technical evaluation and vendor management
- Provide technical support to national dealership networks
- Liaise with any domestic or international suppliers
- Manage documentation in respect to complying with Australian Design Rules (ADR)
- Ensure all products arrive at workshop within the correct time frame
The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in semi-trailer industry
- High level of organisation and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills and the desire to succeed
- A commitment to customer service and friendly positive outlook
- Capacity to travel within the role
