Facilities and Maintenance Manager
We are seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Manager to join our Sydney National Distribution Centre.

About The Role
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities and Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for the effective management of all Woolworths assets at the Distribution Centre. Key responsibilities will also include effective leadership of the maintenance team and contractor management, sustainability of services in line with Company policies and the needs of the operation.

Ensure the provision of effective maintenance support to the DC that is responsive to scheduled and unscheduled service and repair needs

Manage maintenance and repair costs in line with budget and forecast

Ensure National contracts are executed in line with business requirements and to acceptable standards

Ensure that site preventative maintenance schedule is maintained and executed in line with regulatory, manufacturer, lease requirements and standards

Compile and maintain service records for building, plant and services

Identify the planned maintenance requirements for site based on forecasted inbound and outbound volumes and adjust to ensure continued service level is maintained

Provide details to site of equipment and plant failures in a timely manner to ensure service level continuation

Report on improper use or non-standard damage to plant or equipment with recommendations on remedial actions

Provide equipment inspection report on all accident investigations when plant and equipment is involved

Oversee the effective sourcing and management of spare/repair parts & maintenance supplies and authorise associated spend

Support with on site investigations and audits where required

Manage maintenance/repair contractors and staff in line with SWMS; work permits, cost and standards

Review and issue work permits for activities carried out on site, ensuring that works are aligned with

SWMS, Company policies, relevant regulations and standards

Provide input into site budget on maintenance and repair requirements including projected end of life replacements

Engagement of landlord or managing agent regarding repairs, installation of equipment and end of life replacements for consent

Report on variation to forecast and budget providing input into drivers and costs

Provide continuous improvement recommendations and input

Where required; support or lead on site projects, completing required documentation and comply with relevant governance forums

To be successful you will demonstrate the below skills and experience:

Operational and people leadership experience working in Supply Chain or Manufacturing environments

Experience in delivering results cross-functionally, in a complex, matrix environment

Background in engineering or maintenance planning and execution
-
Understanding of DC cost drivers and the ability to influence stakeholders to drive business outcomes

Experienced at leading and implementing change
-
Experience with leading Continuous Improvement methodologies and Reliability Centred Maintenance understanding preferrable

Knowledge of relevant WHS and RTW legislation
-
Extensive experience in FMCG, Distribution, manufacturing, retail, people and contract management

Engineering qualified or equivalent facilities management experience with trade background

Experience in contractor management

Experience with maintenance management software (eg MEX, Maximo, Maintenance Connection)

Experience in or understanding of Supply Chain operations or similar Manufacturing operations
