About the role
The dispatch team coordinates all of the supply chain function for the organisation. The position is responsible for the day to day operations ensuring best practice in the department.
Role Objectives
- To competently move raw/finished products ensuring DIFOT is met to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all documentation, labelling, palletisation and presentation is to standard for customer orders.
- Responsible for accuracy of all stock movements and subsequent paperwork, conducting rolling stocktakes, ensuring damages and credits are reported to relevant departments.
- Assist in Lean & CI implementation, 5S and best practice ensuring a safe work environment for all people within the warehouse.
Role Description
- Learn the key duties of the role of Warehouse Manager, and manage the warehouse in their absence.
- Take responsibility for the safe loading and unloading of trucks ensuring safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
- Visual quality check all incoming and outgoing stock.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
- General housekeeping of store areas and general equipment maintenance checks.
- 50% paperwork based and 50% on the warehouse floor, generating consignment notes, delivery dockets, invoices, arranging transport collaborating with Quality Assurance team.
- Comply with all relevant company policies, procedures and OHS legislation to ensure the Health and Safety of all employees and visitors to the Warehouse; Ability to interpret and apply OHS Legislation at a supervisory level.
- Liaise with production staff and maintenance staff to ensure the smooth running of day to day operations.

Skills and experience
- Can communicate and cooperate effectively with warehouse manager, production staff and other departments.
- Be a pro-active member of the warehouse team.
- Ability to lift heavy objects in and around the warehouse.
- Current Forklift and Open Driver's Licences, with Hi-reach fork experience.
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer Skills and experience with using business accounting packages.
- Supervisory and hands on warehouse experience essential.
- Prepare and complete customer orders accurately.
- Demonstrated inventory management skills/knowledge.
- Able to work in a complex warehouse environment, can handle pressure and stress well.
- Ability to work unsupervised and in a team.
- Exposure to a Lean and CI environment.
