In this new, influential and business enabling role you will assume responsibility for a restructured group of functions and personnel and be required to engage with both internal and external customers to establish service delivery requirements and 'agreements'.
You will report to the Chief Executive Officer and be a key member of the leadership team. You will manage a team of subject matter specialists and be encouraged to develop an open, supportive team culture which embraces strong customer service and results driven values.
You will enjoy the challenge of providing inspiring leadership, clear direction in respect to performance goals in line with overall business strategy and objectives and encouraging/supporting team members to adopt an innovative, continuous improvement mindset.
The portfolio of functions you will manage includes:
- Development of training & education program materials and resources including the further adoption of online technology initiatives;
- Monitoring and reporting on stringent regulatory compliance requirements (quality assurance);
- Marketing & Communications including the expanding social media opportunities;
- Information technology business support through specialist contractors;
- Facilities management;
- Special project coordination
NECA Education & Careers is the training and education service arm of the National Electrical and Communications Association. Its primary purpose is to improve the safety and overall competence of the electrical and related emerging technology industries. To that end, it successfully prepares aspiring apprentices and trainees to pursue meaningful careers in their chosen field and furthering the education of experienced industry participants in a range of technical, professional and business programs.
NECA E&C is a Group Training Organisation (GTO) in Victoria and Tasmania and a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in Victoria. The business presently operates from North Carlton at which, modern, purpose-built training facilities are also located.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong team management/leadership experience and capabilities and prior corporate service functional responsibilities. This background will most likely have been developed within a business environment in which compliance with regulatory obligations is a reality to be embraced and proactively managed. Some knowledge of RTO/GTO operations and the VET system is desirable. This experience/knowledge will be underpinned by relevant tertiary qualifications.
