- 6 month contract to begin
- $65 to $75 p/h base rate
Randstad Procurement are engaged to recruit a Procurement Business Partner with strong experience within local government procurement. The successful applicant will be joining a transforming procurement environment with a supportive team culture. The role would best suit an applicant with strong stakeholder management skills with a proven track record in local government procurement.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure the effective management of procurement contracts and procurement practices
- Develop and maintain key relationships with business units including attending/running procurement network meetings
- Develop, implement and educate business units on procurement policy and frameworks, tendering and contract process and any changes in procurement
- Develop procurement policy and frameworks
- Negotiate value for money contracts, engagement of suppliers to leverage the councils procurement engagements within the correct compliance and procurement policies
Candidate criteria:
- Proven experience within local government procurement
- Familiarity with LGP guidelines and policy
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
