Laser Machine Operator

Located in Campbellfield, we are a well established laser cutting business that primarily cuts mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel.
 

About the role

We are seeking a 2 conscientious pople for the Afternoon Shift Team that is self motivated and hardworking, to be part of our valued team.

Hours:
 Permanent Afternoon Shift (4 days per week Monday to Thursday 1.30pm – 11.30pm)

Wages:
$23.00 to $26.00 per hour plus 15% loading (Afternoon Shift) plus super

The company is seeking a new member to the team whose tasks will include:

• Operate a laser cutting machine
• Pick material sheets for cutting
• Check quality of parts, ticking off orders and wrapping pallets ready for despatch
• Receive material stock and allocate to stores
• Use of forklift and overhead crane
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
• Delivery of orders to customers

Skills and experience

Requirements:

• Have previous laser machine operating experience preferred however will train the right person
• Must be able to understand verbal and written English instructions
• Ability to multitask
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Good mechanical aptitude, and ability to solve machine faults
• Manual handling experience
• Forklift licence or be prepared to get one
• Understand drawings
• Good administrative skills
