Role Accountabilities

A new and unique opportunity exists within our Supply Chain Leadership Team. This role is an important step in developing excellence in each of our state distribution centres ensuring supply chain best practice. Your focus will be on the development, implementation, maintenance and leadership of our National DC strategy.

This position is based at our Sunshine site and reports to the General Manager Supply Chain. Key responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to delivering key supply chain indicators on safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity
  • Full ownership of financial performance of DC Management function (DC cost to sales %, cost out targets, budget adherence)
  • Provide leadership, training, coaching and mentoring to DC team members, leading the capability development of operational excellence competencies
  • Provide leadership to collaborate, negotiate and build alliances with internal departments such as sales, product management, production and finance
  • Lead and actively promote deployment of Lean program in DCs
  • Ensure resources, processes and tools are optimized to enable an efficient and agile operation that is focused on customer service
  • Implement systems and processes to ensure best practice across DC Management function
  • Participate in the Vinidex SC leadership team and drive Operational Excellence initiatives across the function in collaboration with peers

Experience Required

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • A related Bachelor's degree and typically 10+ years' relevant work experience
  • Change agent, ability to foster transformation, good influencing/convincing and stakeholder management skills
  • Senior stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the business
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in developing business cases
  • Ability to work both tactically and strategically in an environment where business analytics need further development.
  • Experienced in the establishment & implementation of best practice DC strategies and processes
  • Ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyse data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
  • Strong project and time management capability
  • Advanced skills utilising appropriate software packages
