We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with solid experience in Customer Service to join our Claims team as Service Recovery Agent. In this role, you will gain industry knowledge and international experience, while improving your communication skills and techniques. This role reports directly into the Customer Experience and Process Manager in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling customer cargo claims in Case Management
  • Keeping customer informed on their cargo claim processing and providing customer with the final settlement
  • Guiding customers on information needs and keeping customers informed of any issues or additional considerations for their claims
  • Supporting the Customer Service organization on handling of customer claims.
  • Putting liable parties on notice for damage/incident costs
  • Assessing the need and for surveys; appointing marine surveyors
  • Receiving cargo damage notifications, advising Customer Service Agents of incident. Supporting Customer Service Agents in their communication with customers
  • Evaluating root cause of failures, identifying trends and making recommendations on preventative measures
  • Escalation of issues impacting claims processing
  • Advising and collaborating with local govt agencies, surveyors, legal and local ML organization for resolution when we have Abandoned Cargo
  • Receiving incident, claim and legal queries from Australian colleagues. Seeking input when needed and advise on actions
  • Arrange payments of marine surveyor invoices via global teams
  • Other claims and process team duties
  • Identifying areas of improvement or further efficiency potentials to optimize service recovery processes and customer experience

Who we are looking for

  • You will have relevant customer service experience, be an excellent team player and be able to work effectively under pressure. Claims handling experience is a plus but not required.
  • The successful candidate will also display excellent communication skills, ability to converse with people of all levels and is well organised, efficient and effective.
  • Knowledgeable about how organisations work; knows how to get things done through formal and informal channels, understands the origin and reasoning behind key policies, practices and procedures
  • Uses diplomacy and tact; can diffuse even high-tension situations comfortably builds appropriate rapport constructive and effective relationships.
  • Must be eligible to work on a permanent basis in Australia.
