Reporting to the Senior Project Manager - Track you will report on onsite activities across a range of projects, liaise with a broad range of stakeholders, offering advice and alternative solutions to emerging issues where required.  You will also ensure works and reworks are completed in accordance with standards and specifications, maintain detailed daily site records, undertake inspections and reviews and sign and release witness points.

To be successful in your application you will have extensive rail experience and a sound understanding of the Rail Safety Act 2006 (Vic).  You must have qualifications or equivalent experience in OH&S, Engineering, Construction or similar. Experience in rail construction supervision and/or site surveillance related to track, stations (or buildings) and OCS assets as well as quality/risk management experience is essential. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have strong communication skills and be an excellent negotiator.  In addition you will have demonstrated problem solving as well as the ability to manage complex issues across multiple stakeholders in a high pressured time sensitive environment.

The role is predominantly site based and will require travel throughout the state, including working away from home at times.  A current Driver’s License is required.  Hours of work will commonly involve weekends and nights however there will be some day work as well.

The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience. The selection process may include aptitude assessments, a behavioural event interview, national probity (police) check and medical examination in line with the National Standard for Health Assessment for Rail Safety Workers.
