Are you the very best in your trade?? If you are, I want to hear from you!! We are currently seeking the expertise of 2X very experienced Brake Press Machine Setter/Operator for an afternoon shift to join one of Melbourne's best Sheet metal fabrication business in Mulgrave for an immediate start! We are looking for people who have worked in the sheet metal industry to join their busy team on a casual basis (full-time hours) in view to permanent employment.
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
-AFTERNOON SHIFT - 7am - 3pm MON - FRIDAY
- Have at least 3-5 years experience in setting and operating on CNC Brake Press machines
- Delum controls or similar
- Ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running as this role is night shift and will require minimal supervision, natural problem solver and an understanding of why machines are not at peak performance and how to fix errors.
- Bending, folding and cutting experience a must!
- Unbend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
- Work with tight tolerances.
- Produce parts for assembly operations.
- Meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.
- Perform spot inspections of parts.
- Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures.
- Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminium & regular steel).
- Check machine for defects and repair if necessary.
- Read drawings and blueprints.
