ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
ELA has an exciting opportunity, to join our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, as a Production Supervisor responsible for overseeing the final assembly of quality lighting products. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and motivated supervisor experienced in planning, preparing and overseeing production operations within a manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the Production Manager and working as part of team of Assembly Supervisors you will be accountable for:
- Planning and preparing assembly schedules on a daily basis
- Preparing and setting up the componentry for each assembly line
- Monitoring the achievement of production targets
- Monitoring safety, quality and continuous improvement across the assembly line
- Motivating and supervising assembly employees to achieve production targets
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a Supervisor within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in utilising Lean manufacturing principles
- Experience in using 5 S methodology for workplace organisation
- Demonstrated their ability to be highly organised and result focussed
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to motivate and lead a team
- A high attention to detail with a focus on continuous improvement
- Proficient Excel skills and experience in using an MRP system
