As a key member of the StarTrack Express Operations National Leadership team and reporting to the GM Express Operations, the State Manager Express – Queensland is responsible for leading StarTrack Express operations across Fleet and Freight functions for all of Queensland, including regional areas.
This role is required to improve network effectiveness and efficiency via strategic and tactical review; and through implementation of agreed initiatives that services delivery standards, compliance obligations, while managing costs and network obligations.
The successful applicant will have experience in transport operations with demonstrable achievements in developing and implementing operational initiatives and efficiencies. Aligning and implementing regional operations will be important. Leading a culture of safety, service quality and productivity across the state will be a must.
We’re looking for a highly agile commercial senior leader with extensive experience in collaborating with multi-level stakeholder groups to deliver commercial efficiencies whilst driving cultural change.
This critical leadership role has responsibility that will include but is not limited to:
- Manage lead and coach the Fleet and Facility teams against their agreed performance targets across safety, service, productivity and people
- Develop and execute communication strategies that drive increased business capability and people engagement through awareness of service, performance and business imperatives
- Actively develop and foster a network of influential stakeholders to ensure support to and facilitate execution of the state strategy
- Management of complex internal and external stakeholder relationships, including managing customer relationships in collaboration with commercial
- Identify areas of non-compliance (policy, procedure and process) and develop plans to Implement, communicate and support the alignment of the operation to policies, procedures, safety and COR requirements to ensure 100% compliance across the state
- In collaboration with the Business efficiency teams and GM Express Operations develop and align the state based Road Express Operating plan with both the StarTrack Parcel Network Operations strategy and Express Operations strategic plan
