An exciting opportunity has arisen in our organisation to lead our finance department.
We are a well known brand within the Freight Forwarding and Logistics industries and have over 240 offices strategically located throughout the world.
Reporting to the Australian Managing Director with a dotted line report to the Regional Financial Controller in Singapore the role will include the below Principle Accountabilities and Deliverables (not an all-inclusive list of duties/expectations):
- Preparation, presentation and analysis of financial information and monthly reports.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, legal, tax and corporate office compliance is adhered to at all times.
- Experience with a multinational and exposure to US GAAP and Asia will be an advantage
- Controllership of the finance team and their daily functions which include AR, AP, BAS, GST, FBT, wages and general administration.
- Annual budgeting and forecasting
- Liaising with various key stakeholders within the business
- Interaction with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses reports and recommendations.
The Successful Candidate:
Will need to have proven experience in a similar position with managing a small team of 4 to 6 people.
You will be degree qualified in accounting or finance and ideally have completed or commenced your CPA / CA studies. You will have a diverse set of accounting skills and be strong in both the Management Accounting and Financial Accounting aspects.
You must also be an effective communicator both written and verbally. You will need to be well presented and able to cope in a fast paced environment. Knowledge of the International transport business in any shape or form will be highly regarded. Of course you will need to be eligible to live and work in Australia and you are a current permanent resident or citizen.
