Large busy distribution centre in Lidcome requires ongoing Freight sorter /dockhand to join their transport teams. This client is responsible for national distribution of some of Australia's best known freight.
The role is ongoing Monday to Friday on afternoon starting at 4pm till 9pm (maybe required to start earlier).
Reporting directly to the warehouse supervisor you will be responsible for
- Working on a conveyor belt
- Stacking boxes
- Scanning freight
- Lifting/closing gates, strapping freight to trucks
- Cubing (measure freight for charging)
- Maintaining clean work areas
- Safe work practices
- Dock hand duties
- Loading freight
To be successful you will have
- Previous experience in a transport yard
- Ability to work within a team and follow direction
- Fit and healthy
- Punctual with a proven attendance record
- LF forklift licence preferred but not essential
- Clear Police Record
