Our client is a leading national refrigerated transport, cold storage and distribution service provider. With an extensive fleet of purpose-built temperature controlled containers and pans, we are seeking experienced MC/HC drivers for an immediate start to assist this very busy site. Successful candidates must be flexible and able to work weekends.
You will be responsible for:
- Attending an in-depth Training and site Induction
- Conducting pre-starts on trucks
- Transporting fast moving consumer goods, including refrigerated, within the Perth metropolitan area in a time-sensitive environment
- Operating load restraints and load bars (when/if required)
- Liaising with customers of our client, with a friendly and professional attitude
- Accountability for all paperwork
- Following all OH&S regulations and furthering the safety culture
Successful candidates will have:
- Current and unrestricted HC licence with a minimum two years HC driving experience in a high volume multi-drop environment
- Previous grocery/refrigeration experience
- Excellent semi driving skills and the capability to drive into and operate in confined spaces
- Current Commercial Vehicle Drivers Medical and be physically fit
- Online Fatigue certificate
- Transport Blue Card
- Proof of Working Rights - valid Passport or Birth Certificate
- Good knowledge of Perth metro roads is essential
- Reliability and flexibility for on call/casual shifts
- Current National Police Clearance (obtained within the last three months)
- An outstanding customer service focus at all times
- A responsible driving history and two excellent references
