About our client
Our client is the trusted leader of logistical solutions to the exhibition industry, facilitating the set up and pack up of Melbourne major events at Melbourne's highest profile event venues.  With the exhibition season in full swing, we have immediate opportunities for experienced and licensed Forklift Operators (Counterbalance).
 
About the role
As a Forklift Operator:

• Unloading trucks and safely delivering exhibitor's merchandise to location
• Moving a wide variety of loads in a fast paced environment
• Following safety guidelines closely & maintain a 'zero incidents' status at all times
• Following instruction & using your initiative within this busy role
• Maintaining a professional / can do attitude at all times

 
Core requirements
You will ideally possess:

• Minimum 12 months intensive Forklift Operator experience 

• Excellent communication skills / customer service ethic / positive attitude / respect
• Ability to follow instructions closely and use initiative where required
• An excellent attendance & punctuality record which can be verified through reference checking
• Own steel capped boots & hivis vest

 
On offer:
These event runs from July to November with potential additional weekend work as required. 
Shift lengths will vary between 4 to 12 hours per day, with various start times.
Easy access via public transport at Melbourne's highest profile Events & Exhibition centres in the CBD.
 
You must be available on Wednesday 8th of August to be considered for any of the positions.
These are positions perfect if you are seeking casual work, maybe some extra work, if you are in-between jobs, working part time and / or studying.
