Hexagon Mining is a successful and established world leader in the development of systems and software to increase mining safety and productivity.  We are currently seeking a Supply and Logistics Manager to join our team based in Dutton Park, Brisbane. 

The Supply and Logistics Manager will be responsible for inventory planning and control, shipping and receiving, warehousing, export compliance, procurement, manufacturing and assembly, and sales order processing. The Supply and Logistics Manager will also be the point-of-contact with customers and suppliers providing top tier service in accordance with Leica business standards on a global scale.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Manage all sales orders and communication of delivery dates to customers.
• Effectively lead the warehouse and production teams including defining and implementing supply chain key performance indicators.
• Provide and maintain the master production schedule to production team.
• Coordinate warehouse and packaging requirements for all shipments.
• Maintain and adhere to shipping and export compliance to domestic and international customers and subsidiaries.
• Create sales BOM’s, bundles for complete system packaging from standard production BOM’s.
• Help maintain SAP master data including price lists.
• Review with accounting department any variances and deviations.
• Assist regions in providing quotes and communicating shipping deadlines, both inter-office and overseas.
• Establish leads and implement supply chain systems in line with the companies strategic plan.
• Manage business relationships with Freight Forwarders, Customers and Suppliers and negotiate terms and conditions.
• Coordinate with product management and product development to manage product end of life, shortages and obsolescence management and participate in new projects.
• Liaising with Finance regarding customer payments and credit lines.
• Maintain efficient and effective stock control and stock-take process. Lead the year end stock-take with the auditors.
• Effective inventory management and control, cost savings, waste and rework management.
• Assess and plan for longer term strategic change initiatives.
• Keep Finance Director up to date with data relating to product availability and delivery status.
• Maintain, enhance and adhere to Leica documentation and reporting standards, systems and processes.
• Compliance with Leica’s Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures (and customer policies and procedures where applicable).   Participation in audits and compliance with instructions given in respect to the health and safety matters.

Other duties as required from time to time.

Knowledge & Experience Required:

Education/Credentials

• Tertiary / Degree qualifications in Supply Chain and Logistics Management (desirable)
• 10+ years expereince at a senior managment / supervisory level
• Working knowledge of supply and logistics within the mining industry (technology based)
• Experience working within quality standards to meet customer specifications
• Working knowledge using ERP systems (experience with SAP is highly desirable) entering Quotes, Shipping & also Invoicing
