Wilson Transformer Company is an Australian owed engineering and manufacturing company, specialising in the production of power and distribution transformers. We pride ourselves on an enviable reputation for quality, reliability and service.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrical fitter or electrical mechanic to expand their skills in our test department. Our work includes transformer testing according to test plans, standards and customer specifications. Working under the guidance of senior testers, the successful candidate will be a very detailed, resourceful and zealous individual who will thrive under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be a trouble shooter, an effective team player and have a strong ability to build relationships.
Key responsibilities are:
- accurately and efficiently perform a range of transformer tests
- comply with procedures, standards and policies
- communicate effectively
- work efficiently in a high risk environment
- assist with hazard identification and risk control
For success you will need:
- an electrical trade (electrical fitter or electrical mechanic)
- 3 years hands on electrical trade experience
- capability to read and understand technical drawings
- strong mechanical and electrical apptitude
- be a team player capable of good communication with stakeholders
- be enthusiastic, flexible, willing to work a rotating shift and overtime.
