We are a mid-sized, Australian owned company. An opportunity exists for enthusiastic Print Buyer/Kitting team leader to join our team of Print Buyers.
The role is in constant contact with internal and external associates and therefore an ability to build professional relationships with these associates is important.
The successful candidate will be in direct contact with suppliers and, will be required to continuously review and improve overall efficiency and costs from suppliers, by providing effective communication and customer service relation in the area of negotiating, purchasing, quality control, costs, timely deliveries and continuous improvement.
You will be also responsible for managing the areas of Kitting, Preparation of Point of Sale Kits, organise staff correctly to construct Kits. Freight distribution of outbound products and the day-to-day activities of the Print Management team.
As part of a small team, tasks are mostly self-directed and as such require a methodical approach to prioritising and planning work.
In order to apply to this position you should have
- Knowledge of print and printing terminology
- Knowledge of product specifications
- Strong printing industry knowledge Point of Sale advantage.
- Understanding and ability to spec printed products.
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets
- Strong purchasing and negotiation skills
- Excellent English communication skills
- Positive attitude & resilient
- Ability to manage challenging timelines and work under pressure
- Strong work ethic with drive, initiative and a can-do attitude
