bailey personnel is a National supplier of staffing solutions with a highly regarded client base who have strong views on casual conversions leading to permanent job opportunities.  We are currently recruiting labourers with some experience or exposure to the plumbing trade/manufacturing environment for a leading Australian Owned and Operated Plumbing Manufacturer, Supplier and Installer in the Northern Suburbs. 

This role will commence immediately and will lead to a permanent position for the right candidate who displays commitment to the role, a willingness to learn and a desire to be part of the excellence that has resulted in the business growth. The initial casual commencement will be approximately 6 months.

This exciting opportunity will see you carrying out the following day to day operational tasks -

• High attention to detail while checking site drawings and project plans
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, numeric accuracy is critical
• Assembly of plumbing pre fabrications for site installation
• Safe operational use of all equipment including pallet jacks, and machinery as required
• Mechanical aptitude and use of hand tools such as saws, drills etc
• Can do attitude and able to work in a fast paced environment to meet manufacturing daily KPI’s
• Loading/unloading, manual handling tasks including build and break downs of palletised goods, pallet wrapping etc. for completed units to be loaded and sent to site.

To be considered for this position you will need to clearly demonstrate the following -

• Must be able to commit to an ongoing role, working hours will be 6.30am-2.45pm + OT as required by work volumes
• Current Australian drivers licence and own reliable transport
• Reliability is essential for your long term success with our client
• Experience in the Plumbing sector will be highly regarded, whether you have commenced an Apprenticeship, or were a plumber who has now downed tools
• Manufacturing experience in a plumbing or water infrastructure environment will be highly regarded
• Motivated and driven to achieve daily targets
• Able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and pre-employment drug & alcohol test
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out labouring tasks
• Provide your own PPE – steel caps, safety glasses
• Ability to work safely at all times in a busy environment
