About the role

We are looking for a Source to Contract Analyst to be part of a high performing Procurement Sourcing team, whom is committed to making a real difference to the way we run our business, both financially and operationally. As the Source to Contract Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering significant value through the identification and execution of high value sourcing projects. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is looking for an influential role, is passionate about procurement and wants to be part of the transformation journey in making business improvements. 

Reporting to the Sourcing Specialist, you will:

  • Build a strong understanding of internal needs by close collaboration with operational stakeholders
  • Manage both internal customer and external supplier relationships
  • Conduct bids/analysis and present sound business cases for recommendation
  • Build commercially astute negotiation plans, draft execute, implement and manage contracts.
  • Develop a rigorous fact base (based on internal and external data) that will form the basis of the category strategy and sourcing program; 

 

About you

To be successfully in this role, you will have:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills 
  • Experience in sourcing and contract management
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including time management skills
  • The ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven track record of achieving outcomes through negotiation, influencing and collaboration
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to work independently
  • Moderate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, in particular Word and Excel


It will also bebeneficial if you have:

  • A tertiary qualification in business or commercial related field
  • Experience in the use of SAP, RT Data Warehouse, RT Business Solution, Wave or similar

 

Where you will be working

Rio Tinto owns and operates the Gove bauxite mine and refinery on the Gove Peninsula in North East Arnhem Land in Northern Territory, Australia. Bauxite mining commenced in the early 1970’s to supply the export market. Using conventional open-pit mining methods, Gove Operations consists of continuous mining operations. 18 kilometres of overland conveyor to transport mined bauxite to the export wharf, stockpiles and a ship loader. 

Rio Tinto GoveOperations is located on Aboriginal Land. In 2011, the historic GoveTraditional Owners Agreement was signed with Rirratjingu, Gumatj and GalpuTraditional Owners, the Northern Land Council and Rio Tinto. The Agreementformally acknowledged Traditional Owners for the first time in the operationsforty year history and provides significant long-tterm benefits to the GoveTraditional Owners.
