About the Role:
This role would suit someone who is a self-starter, is flexible, and able to change to the demands of the business at short notice whilst keeping their cool. This role reports directly to the Depot Manager. The successful applicant will work Monday – Friday and there is an expectation that the successful applicant will work alternate rostered weekends.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Coordinating, scheduling and managing the day to day allocation of the line haul vehicle fleet and staff
- Liaising with customers and operational staff to ensure day to day operations run smoothly
- Load information
- Monitoring of staff hours to ensure compliance with fatigue management and safety legislation as well as company policy.
- Regular reporting to management
- Some weekend and after hours worked required
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in transport logistics (preferred)
- Experience in a similar role an advantage
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment and change to the demands of the business
- Capacity to pass a police check
- Microsoft Office skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A safety conscious attitude
- Team player
