Quality assurance supervisor
QA Supervisor – Contractor/Casual position (Approximately 1 – 3 days per week)
Ricci's Bikkies is a leader in the supply of baked pita bread crisps both nationally and internationally to retail consumers.
We are looking for an experienced QA supervisor who is driven, focused and able to hit the ground running. The position offered as a preferred contractor or casual position, working approximately 1 – 3 days per week out of the Healesville factory and must have experience in SQF/HACCP.
The position could be extended to Full-Time hours if the applicant has knowledge working on a Hurricane Flow Wrapper.
The successful candidate will support the manufacturing team in developing, planning and implementing in plant Quality Assurance programs to ensure all raw material and finished products meet legislative specifications, standards and customer expectation.
Responsibilities include, however not limited to:
- Plan and direct in plant QA programs
- Conduct product shelf-life evaluation, laboratory tests and validations and record and distribute results in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Participate in Vendor Audit program
- Ensuring regulatory compliance for Food Safety, Quality and trade practice requirements
- Complete product ingredient listings, nutritional panels and reviews for label compliance.
- Conduct ongoing product research to identify continuous improvement
- Develop, review and verify nutrition programs for health claims
The successful candidate will possess:
- Food Science, Chemistry or Microbiology background preferable
- Skills in Quality Management Systems, SQF / HACCP and Internal auditing
- An understanding of Food legislation in Australia
- Intermediate computer skills in MS Office and other systems
- Problem solving including anticipating obstacles
- Attention to Detail
- Clear communication skills with management at all levels.
