Briar Maritime Services P/L are seeking to employ a Coxswain for a line boat business operating in Hobart. Working within legal and company policies and procedures, you will be required to act as the point of contact for clients seeking line boat services. The position is permanent casual with regular weekend and out-of-hours work.

Essential Criteria

  • Coxswain unrestricted or higher licence
  • Med 3 or higher
  • Employee must be domiciled within 30 minutes drive from Prince of Wales Bay, Hobart
  • Demonstrated experience in small craft maintenance and working knowledge of ship construction and stability
  • Current Australian drivers licence
  • Current Workplace Level 2 First Aid
  • Prepared to work on call
  • Ability to co-ordinate crew for boat services, maintaining vessel logs and maintenance schedules, recording personnel work hours and reporting fortnightly
  • An aptitude to work hands on in the field, both individually or as part of a multi-skilled team is essential
  • Applicant must hold, or be able to obtain a National Police Check and Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
