ABOUT THE COMPANY
JI Commercial is a leading joinery/cabinet/shopfitting company with ISO 9001 accreditation, operating from a well established modern factory in Kilsyth. A great opportunity has arisin for an energetic and fast learner to join our team as a Wood Machinist.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role requires some CNC operator and/or other machinist experience, as well as competency with hand held tools. A knowledge of joinery and cabinet making is an advantage.
The person we are looking for will be sharp, energetic and motivated. A quick learner who can work both autonomously and in a team but with a sense of urgency and efficiency while not compromising on quality
They will have a can-do attitude and take pride in their work.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate must have
- Some experience as a machinist using CNC and other machines such a panel saw.
- Ability to use hand held tools
- Some aptitude for cabinetmaking or general joinery
- History of working safely within OH&S policy
OTHER SKILLS (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL)
- An ability to program the CNC router would be highly regarded (Homag and Weeke software) but not essential
- Forklift Licence would be an advantage
- Knowledge of AutoCAD would be highly regarded but not essential
DUTIES INCLUDE
- Processing jobs through to the assembly floor including cutting, machining etc. (majority)
