Retail Ready Operations Australia (RROA), is the first Coles' owned retail ready meat facility. Based at Erskine Park, on the western edge of Sydney, our site is highly automated, sophisticated and equipped to global best practice. We have a strong focus on team member safety, quality and continuous improvement whilst ensuring that customers' security of supply, quality, availability of product and value for money expectations are met. Our facility is fully integrated into the Coles sourcing, production logistics and stores' network.
As we build a truly world class operation, a new and exciting opportunity has been created for an enthusiastic Team Leader for Afternoon shift with a large focus on coaching, developing and building team capability.
Successful candidate will need to be flexible to support our production across 7 days.
About the position
The primary functions are to develop the technical capability of team members and ensure the delivery of best practice operational standards.
The role requirements include:
- Maintain a safe working environment and adherence to GMP standards
- Assist in building a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Adhere to process parameters, specifications and standards
- Identify non-conformances and initiate corrective action immediately
- Assist in the development of Best Practice Standard Work Instructions
Essential
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety principles
- Willing to work as part of team towards a common goal
- A positive ‘can do’ attitude
- On-the-Job training and assessment experience
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
Desirable
- Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher)
- Experience in a meat processing environment or FMCG
- Experience in using Lean principles
