Joining the Operational Readiness team as Rail/Track Infrastructure Maintenance Technician, you will support the Infrastructure Engineer in establishing required maintenance processes and documentation for infrastructure assets (including civil structure, overhead wire structure, track and trackside installations, and drainage systems) to ensure readiness for operation in compliance with business objectives.
Infrastructure Maintenance Technician responsibilities include:
- Lead and review the contracting arrangements for outsourced tasks, including contract negotiation and compliance in line with MTS requirements
- Participate in the setup of the Asset Information System, including system testing during trial running, ensuring efficient processes are implemented for maintenance tasks to be captured and recorded accurately
You will have experience at a similar Superintendent level in asset maintenance in the rail industry, including experience as an inspector, examiner and/or certifier of infrastructure assets under track possession.
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure and/or Certificate III in Rail Structures and/or Certificate III in Rail Traction
- Or trade qualification/appropriate training deemed to be equivalent with significant experience in the Rail industry
- Experience in reviewing and interpretation of design documentation
- Proven record in delivering continuous improvement initiatives in railway operation
- Multi skilled experience performing maintenance work on a variety on infrastructure assets (or ability to learn) OHW or civil structures is highly desirable
