About the role:

As a yard Coordinator with Aurizon you will be required to coordinate train crew and yard operations. This includes the responsibility for overseeing the day to day movements of rollingstock, ensuring all planned activities are executed on time as well as managing day of operations changes to meet all planned train service and maintenance activity timeframes.

You will:

• Direct and manage the allocation, utilisation and deployment of production resources to ensure the disciplined execution of the yard plan.
• Develop, implement and manage processes, systems and procedures that will eliminate above rail factors.
• Provide advice, coaching and support to direct operational employees that assists in achieving performance objectives, promote high performance teams and support continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure that all business activities and employees within the position's area of control comply with all legislative/statutory obligations, company policies, standards and procedures.

About you:

• Previous logistics or heavy industrial experience (Preferred).
• Previous experience in Yard operations (Preferred).
• Previous rail & construction experience ( Highly desirable )
• Demonstrated skills to effectively lead teams in a day of operations environment.
• Demonstrated experience to effectively work with key stakeholders to deliver value to the customer.
• Substantial level of analytical, decision making and problem solving skills.
• High level of communication skills in providing clear and professional verbal and written information.
• Demonstrated ability in the use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
