Your new company
Our client is a market leader in freight and transportation, with a respected name around Canberra and its surrounding regions. They continue to go from strength to strength in the current market, seeing a steady increase in work over the past several months. Due to company growth, they have a requirement for talented and experienced Forklift Drivers within the industry
Your new role
In this position, your responsibilities will include safe and efficient operation of their forklifts, picking and loading containers off of the trucks, yard duties and labouring (equipment movement). Furthermore, you will be dispatching orders, receiving orders, replenishing or maintaining stock and RF scanning. You will be an integral part of an established and collaborative team, made up of experienced industry professionals. Regular tool box meetings are held where you will get the opportunity to be heard and pass on your knowledge to the team
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will need to be a highly motivated and experienced Forklift Driver who can confidently operate a range of forklifts and be willing to do manual picks and other warehouse tasks as part of your daily duties. A minimum of 6 months forklift operation experience in a similar position, a current forklift ticket, a valid manual driver’s licence and a demonstrated background in warehousing is essential. Previous experience in a warehouse and transport environment will be highly regarded
