Our client is an Australian Owned and Operated signage company who manufacture and distribute to the Road Industry. Supplying high quality products, there is nothing too big or too small. They pride themselves on delivering rapid turnaround on quotes, orders, short delivery lead times and of course, product quality and service.
They are now seeking a skilled Dispatch operator to join their fun, energetic team in Hallam. Applicants MUST be available to start work immediately and be able to work Monday to Friday – Day shift – 7am to 3.30pm (38 hour week with 2 hours overtime). This position commences as an ongoing casual assignment with the possibility of a permanent position based on performance.
This role will predominantly revolve around pick packing of customer orders, utilising the forklift and general stores work.
The successful applicant will need to meet the following key selection criteria:
- Experienced Forklift Operator – ideally someone who can driver both Counterbalance AND Reach trucks.
- Proven work history within the industry – recent references to be supplied
- Picking orders manually (using manual picking slips) - this will be the majority of your role
- Be computer literate and have an understanding of basic computer skills
- Unloading and loading trucks several times a day using the forklifts
- Unloading containers two to three times a month
- Be physically fit and healthy – ability to lift 20-25kgs
- Good communication skills – both written and verbal
- Be able to work independently and within a team
- Strong level of attention to detail and have a willingness to learn
- Hold a ‘CAN DO’ attitude, be self-motivated, hardworking and reliable
