About The Role
Service Stream's Energy and Water division are currently seeking a Warehouse & Administration Officer to join our exciting new contract for Victorian Gas Fitting Services on behalf of our client, APA. Reporting directly to the Contract Manager, this varied role will be responsible for coordinating/managing warehouse operations and ensuring smooth delivery of customer service and administration functions. This role is based in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne (VIC), and offered on a Maximum Term, full time basis. The Warehouse & Administration Officer position offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate with warehousing and logistics experience who is seeking fresh responsibilities and possesses strong administration skills.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure safe, effective and efficient warehouse functions and freight arrangements
Ensure the physical protection, security, flow and control of all material within the warehouse
Identify, investigate and resolve drivers of inventory variances
Stock level reporting (routine and adhoc)
Execute cycle counts and stocktakes; investigate and approve stock adjustments
Manage returns and scrapping
Allocate tasks and liaise with field based staff
Respond to incoming phone calls, faxes and emails
Customer service and complaint management
General office duties and adhoc administration tasks
Skills and Experience
2+ years experience in warehousing and logistics
Certificate II in Business Administration (preferred) or equivalent work experience
Forklift license
Positive, proactive and professional work attitude
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Acute attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office suite and ERP system)
