About the role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity within our Supply Chain team at our head office located at Macquarie Park, NSW for an individual with transport operations experience. 

Reporting to the Manager – Transport Operations, the key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate Panasonic’s domestic transport requirements, with specific focus on facilitating domestic freight movements into and out of our Head office facticity.
  • Liaise with local transport suppliers to ensure their compliance to company business processes & agreed Service Level Agreements
  • Provide a high standard of service to our internal customers and ensure prompt communication on the status of each and every consignment
  • Validation of all transport invoices against contracted rates, proactively manage delivery failures by liaising with our transport partners and our internal and external customers.
  • Manage the physical receipt and dispatch from our Head Office’s mailroom operation.

Skills & experience required:

  • Must have experience working in a supply chain role specialising in transport operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of internal customers, including Panasonic’s senior executive team
  • Ability to problem solve and think on your feet
  • Advance Microsoft excel skills and working experience with ERP eg; SAP or Oracle
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Reasonable physical fitness (for physical inventory movement, lifting of heavy objects)
