Our client is an Australian Owned and Operated signage company who manufacture and distribute to the Road Industry. Supplying high quality products, there is nothing too big or too small. They pride themselves on delivering rapid turnaround on quotes, orders, short delivery lead times and of course, product quality and service.
They are now seeking a General Factory Hand to join their fun, energetic team in Hallam. Applicants MUST be available to start work immediately and be able to work, Monday to Thursday – 7am to 3.30pm and Fridays, 7am to 1pm. This position commences as an ongoing casual assignment with the possibility of a permanent position based on performance. There will be overtime available during busy periods with potential 6am starts or longer days on Fridays.
This role will involve assisting with the manufacturing of signs and road management & control products. Utilising hand and power tools, assembly, labouring and general workshop duties including cleaning up your work area and assisting the team.
The successful applicant will need to meet the following key selection criteria:
- Previous experience within a Manufacturing Industry
- Confident working with hand and power tools
- Machine operating experience – would be an advantage
- Be physically fit and healthy – ability to lift 20-25kgs
- Good communication skills – both written and verbal
- Be able to work independently and within a team
- Strong level of attention to detail and have a willingness to learn
- Hold a ‘CAN DO’ attitude, be self-motivated, hardworking and reliable!
