The role is responsible for providing support towards implementing the organisation's product development program through self-initiated innovation thus, meeting the company’s objectives in relation to its product and brand.

Description
- Continual involvement within product development, maintaining of quality standards, improvement of quality standards, productivity of the company, line extensions
- Knowledge and research of market trends
- Develop new products based on consumer trends
- Provide support and technical assistance to the company
- Continual quality improvements of all product lines
Profile
- Food Science degree qualified or a related degree
- 4 years + experience in a similar role
- Experience within research and development
- Creativity and innovation when generating new product ideas
- A genuine passion to work within the value added food products industry
- Sound Awareness of food regulations, food labelling and food standards code
- Excellent innovative and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of multifactorial hurdle technology as well as shelf life design
