We currently have casual positions for Batching Operators to work in our paint and dispersions manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for producing product as directed, along with packing and labelling finished product, to Damar’s quality standard. This role may lead to a permanent role in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurately weighting and following all batching instructions as written on the batch sheet
- Responsible for pumping products from mixing tanks to storage
- Tends machine that mixes specified chemicals and liquids.
- Be able to safely operate a forklift to move/weigh chemicals required for batching
- Maintain the cleanliness of the raw materials storage and batching areas
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following skills and abilities;
- Prior experience in manufacturing/chemical industry and raw material batch mixing;
- A forklift licence;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Be able to follow written instructions;
- High attention to detail;
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and movement;
- A “can do” attitude and strong work ethic;
- Good numerical skills;
- Physically fit and able to work in a manufacturing environment
