Wood is currently recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis at Melbourne Water located in Brooklyn. You will be responsible for all Warehouse Operations - coordination of stores based materials, plant, consumables, tools and equipment for Melbourne Water, including the receipt, dispatch, picking, packing and preservation activities. You will supervise of a team of six Store persons, while reporting in to the Supply Chain Lead.

Wood has sixteen years’ experience providing maintenance services to Australia’s water industry and our achievements have been considered world class best practice for maintenance in water utilities by the MCP AIMS.

Responsibilities

Supervise/coordinate - Warehouse Operations:

• Cyclic stock takes completed as required;
• Repackage damaged items
• Ensure compliance to Wood Group Risk Management, Quality Assurance and Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures
• Proactively promote a positive health and safety culture within the workplace
• Ensure Warehouse areas are kept clean and tidy with items secured to provide safe work areas and reduce risk
• Assist team members as required, providing coverage for all Stores roles including goods receipting, bulk yards, LCTR officer and general warehouse duties
• Ensure deliveries to each site warehouse location (internal and external) received and receipted as per procedures in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure all relevant delivery dockets are signed, filed and archived in accordance with procedures
• Items (parts, tooling, consumables, chemicals) are identified correctly, picked and packed within given timeframes
• Ensure all items are packaged following correct preservation procedure and number is written on item prior to storage
• Complete end of day procedures ensuring site security compliance

Skills / Qualifications

• Management/Supervision experience in Warehouse Operations
• Forklift License
• Possession or ability to gain Dangerous Goods Certification  
• Certificate III Warehousing and Distribution
• Industry experience within water, oil and gas, construction or maintenance 
• Proficient in the use of Maximo, Materials Management Systems, HSE and Quality Management Systems
