We are seeking a suitably experienced member to join this highly skilled and innovative team at our Wivenhoe workshop.

The company: 

Elphinstone Enterprises carries out steel fabrication, building construction and maintenance work for marine, mining, and the building industries.

The role:

Are you well organised and experienced in workshop fabrication? Can you build relationships with prospective clients? Do you want the opportunity to promote and build our fabrication business with the potential to become an equity partner in the future? If you are a hands on leading hand / supervisor who likes to manage your own work then this is the role for you. As Supervisor, you will report to the Director and will be proficient in all forms of fabrication and site installation.

You will have:

  • Certificate IV in Frontline Management
  • Trade qualification as a Boilermaker / Fabricator
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the metal trades industry
  • Background in Manufacturing, Mining, Forestry, Construction or similar
  • Networking contacts within the industry
  • Demonstrated experience in Risk Management and Quality Assurance
  • Demonstrated experience in Estimating and Tendering
  • Supervisory / Management experience and be committed to meeting client needs
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision to achieve deliverable outcomes
  • A solid technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret drawings
  • High level computer skills including the MS Office suite of products
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Motivated and positive attitude towards Workplace Health & Safety
  • Current full Tasmanian driver’s license
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work history
