Reporting to the Inventory Manager, the DC Inventory Control Associate is responsible for accurate and efficient processing and packing of all incoming stock, ensuring stock is consolidated in the warehouse, maintaining a tidy and organised warehouse environment. This position will also act as a Warehouse Team Member. This position is responsible for contributing to a positive and safe working environment by displaying a positive approach to their role, team and Company, and by supporting management to create a safe working environment in accordance with DISSH Workplace Health and Safety standards.

We are looking for someone who is hands on, adaptable and proactive who thrives in a team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support DC through cycle counting and daily maintenance of inventory integrity
  • Accept, process and put away all incoming stock
  • Follow stock movement policies and procedures
  • Maintain and update inventory records
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies
  • Assist in company Stock take’s
  • Assist other departments with any Inventory Control related functions
  • Reporting and communication of stock related issues
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of stock areas
  • Harmony Invoicing, stock transfers and sales orders as per company procedures
  • Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry and answering inquiries
  • Be accurate, efficient and fast on scanners
  • Other such duties as assigned by the Warehouse Team Leader or Inventory Manager
     

Experience and Technical Requirements:

  • Warehouse experience, ideally in an inventory related role
  • A strong Customer Service focus and the confidence to work with and influence a wide range of stakeholders including customers, Store staff, suppliers and other Operations team members
  • Excellent attention to detail and an aptitude for working with numbers
  • Willingness to learn and tackle any challenge that comes your way
  • Ability to remain calm, composed and professional even during peak times
  • Ability to follow directions and processes to company standards
  • Ability to work independently as well as a contributing member to a team
    Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Sound computer skills in MS Office & Outlook with the ability and knowledge to operate an FR Scanner
  • The commitment to participate in training which Management identifies as required to fulfil the expectations of the role
  • Experience with Harmony is desirable
