Do you have steel industry experience? If you do we want to hear from you! We are currently seeking the expertise of CNC Plasma Operators to join our client in Kilsyth for a day shift role. We are looking for people who have worked in or had exposure to the heavy steel industry to join their busy team on a casual basis (full time hour) in view to permanent employment.
7:00pm-3:30pm Mon to Thurs and Fridays 7:00pm-1pm
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Operating plasma table equipment to cut and shape metal.
- Read /understand job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
- Position workpiece; sets, stops, or guides piece according to specifications.
- Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
- Measure workpiece dimensions to determine the accuracy of machine operation
- Operate an Overhead Crane
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely perform work in a shop environment with minimal supervision.
- load programs to Manipulate CNC Code to manufacture quality parts
- Competent in the operation of craft related tools (i.e. portable grinders).
- Operation of overhead cranes
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Excellent work attitude
