We a leading Pharmaceutical service provider located in the North-West of Sydney and are seeking an experienced person as Production Manager to lead our production team.

Supporting this is a highly skilled, well trained team, supported by management, working with specialised equipment in a modern facility.
The Production Manager will be responsible for the management, leadership and success of the Production department The Production Manager is responsible for manufacturing/packaging pharmaceutical and other nominated products, the supply, commissioning and maintenance of machines and cleaning and maintenance of the facility.
Working closely with the Supply Chain, Planning and Quality Teams, the Production Manager works to achieve continually improving and efficient production of high quality products for our customers, whilst maintaining a strong team environment.
Responsibilities of the role include,
- Hands-on Supervision of Production, Maintenance and Cleaning teams
- Managing production schedules and service delivery
- Preparing regular production reports
- Coordinating, managing and delivering a cost effective, timely, quality focussed and compliant pharmaceutical product solution.
- Ensure all manufacturing equipment are well maintained and attend to any breakdown maintenance and plan and oversee preventive maintenance.
- Be able to implement efficient equipment and labour usage to optimize production output.
- Developing a highly skilled, efficient and professional team
- Developing key performance measures for the Production Department and individuals for ongoing review and analysis
- Developing strategies and implementing improvements in conjunction with Senior Management.
- Identifying development needs and facilitating / providing training and support for direct reports
- Managing the development and training of all Production staff
To be the successful applicant for this position you will have a
- Demonstrable experience in a Production Manager role or Senior Supervisory position - min 5 years
- Strong background in change management and leading teams in a Pharmaceutical production environment.
- High Level understanding of TGA, PIC/S & GMP
- Knowledge of Lean / 6 Sigma / 5S.
- Strong mechanical / machinery background in Pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with automated machinery highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and team building skills.
- Proven ability to manage production facility and projects to deliver on time and within budget.
- Ability to implement and maintain Quality Assurance standards & SOPs.
- You will have a proven ability to set and achieve outcomes in terms of production targets and quality standards.
