We are an Australian food manufacturing company that produces confectionery.
As part of our significant expansion and success we have several training opportunities.
No experience is necessary for these trainee roles as successful candidates will be trained in the manufacturing process.
At the completion of the training program, the Production Operator is ultimately responsible for the operation of production machinery and following product formulations and cooking processes.
An initial training plan will apply to enable competencies to be developed across multiple areas of the business.
The trainee position will work under direct supervision to develop skills in the following areas:
- Mix, cook & batch confectionery ingredients by following recipes to product specification.
- Operate equipment, e.g. Starch Moulding NID and W&D Mogul, Toffee Cooking, High Boil line and Jelly Beans panning.
- Ensure the daily production schedule and production targets are met in order to meet customer requirements.
- Monitor quality of work standards and ensure standard operating and work procedures are followed at all times.
- Ensures that Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (Food Safety Management System) are observed and followed at all times.
- Ensures that all tasks are carried out in a safe manner at all times.
- Ensures that all required production reports and documentation are completed correctly and on time.
- Check, clean and maintain the cleanliness of equipment and general cleaning in work area in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines.
- Reporting of any food safety and quality issues to team leader.
- Be confident in participating in line start-up, changeovers and shutdown, maintenance and troubleshooting of production processes.

- Able to understand detailed instructions and work from procedures
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively work within a team environment
- Demonstrate a willingness to perform all duties to promote the highest possible quality, safety and productivity.
- Strong focus on performance, with an ability to learn multiple tasks
- Energetic and reliable
- Ability to work overtime when required
- Ability to work flexible shift arrangements
