Your duties will be but not limited to:

With strong relationship and communication skills, this function liaises with both internal and external suppliers/customers. Reporting into the Production and General Manager, this role aligns with this companies function to ensure the highest level of support at all times, whilst driving continual improvement and efficiencies.

  • Ensuring the appropriate service contracts exist for the provision of services
  • Focus on efficiency improvements, waste reduction and the implementation streamlining of processes
  • Build new relationships by working with existing and new supplier contacts to review, negotiate and present the most cost-effective solutions for the company (including contract negotiation)
  • Order materials and supplies from local and international suppliers; maintaining the inventory material costs and reflecting accurately on the ordering system
  • Forecast in accordance with purchase requirements and ensuring accurate cash-flow requirements with internal accounts department
  • Be competent in the use of computer skills, in particular Microsoft Office suite and ShopVOX online system.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to form and develop new relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure consumable/consignment store stock holding targets are maintained, without negatively affecting production efficiency.
  • QA all manufactured items prior to packing to ensure they meet the job order and the quality standards of the company.
  • Pick & Pack orders
  • Receiving & dispatch of orders
  • Loading & unloading trucks
  • Organise delivery runs and pickups. assist when required
  • Current Fork Lift Licence (preferable)
  • Current drivers Licence - Manual and Automatic
  • Reliable, hardworking and well presented
  • Physically fit and able to carry out warehouse duties, maintain the presentation of the warehouse
  • Able to take initiative and work unsupervised and be able to work under pressure and in a high-volume workload
  • Must have attention to detail

Profile

The successful applicant will have:

  • Prior experience in a Purchasing/Procurement function- 5 + years’ experience
  • Prior exposure within a manufacturing environment, importantly with the ability to understand the Total Cost of Manufacturing
  • High level of computer skills- Microsoft Office Suite in particular
  • Strong interpersonal relationship and communication skills
  • An attention to detail with an ability to work under pressure ensuring you achieve tight time schedules
