Your role:

We are currently recruiting for two Quality Auditors to join O-I at our Spotswood Plant on a rotating 7 day roster (rotating 8 hour shifts including days, afternoons and nights).

Reporting to the quality Manager and Shift Manager, you will be the Quality lead on shift, responsible for identifying and recording the types and levels of defectiveness in packed glass containers following automatic inspection.

You will provide an independent assessment of the packed quality of containers, identify areas of non-conformance, provide quality information to production to eliminate recurring issues, assess ware packaging quality and track pallets of ware in the warehouse where quality issues have been detected.

This role includes contributing to a safe work environment for yourself and your peers, writing reports on quality issues, uploading quality data to SAP and operating a forklift when required.

 

About you:

You will have extensive experience in a similar quality checking/audit role within a large scale production environment.

You will be a focused individual with a strong work ethic, excellent communication and the ability to work well unsupervised as well as in a team. Intermediate computer and forklift operating ability is essential.

Experience in glass manufacturing is strongly desirable however we will still consider those with a an aptitude and willingness to learn the process.

Any quality or engineering credentials, whilst not essential, will be held in high regard.
