A fantastic opportunity now exists for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and switched on experienced Purchasing Officer to join our local Perth team.
About the Role
We are looking for someone that has had experience within the Safety Clothing Industry
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be involved in the following activities:
- Stock and Inventory Control for all warehouses
- Procurement & communicating regularly with suppliers both locally and overseas
- Maintaining accurate costings, PO’s, ETD’s / ETA’s and supplier details in Pronto
- Liaising with the sales team to collect forecast information to assist with purchasing decisions
- Accurate completion & recording of ordering, receipting and delivery of goods.
- Liaising with the CFO & Imports Manager to ensure all orders fit into budgetary and time constraints
- Running reorder reports
- Reviewing stock usage and updating min/max stock levels
- Order planning & placing
- Liaise with suppliers for quotations, pricing negotiation, product enquires, lead times, order placing, update order status, checking vessel booking and shipment details
About the Person
To be successful in this position you will be adaptable and enjoy the rush of working in a fast-paced environment.
Additionally, you will also need to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role, and possess the following attributes:
- Knowledge and experience using Pronto
- Prior experience in a Purchasing/Procurement function (+5 years)
- Prior exposure working within the safety clothing industry
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
