ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a Customer Service/Account Management role where you are the one point of contact for all of your accounts and are responsible for liaising between all inhouse departments to keep your customers up to date with their shipments.
DUTIES
- Work closely with your vertical of existing client base on all points of customer service
- Facilitate the communication between the Customer and the relevant departments
- Liaise with clients / stakeholders on a daily basis regarding incoming and outgoing shipments based on agreed timings, projected volumes and possible deviations to existing service agreements
- Liaise with clients about data integrity issues and pro-actively look for solutions to existing data integrity issues within the framework of current agreements
- Prepare and participate in operations meetings either internal and/or with clients
- Liaise with both - client nominated or self-nominated carriers - in regards to service requirements, performance issues, delivery follow up and ad hoc requests
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
- Relevant Freight Forwarding experience - a minimum of 2 years in a similar role
- A proactive and 'can-do' attitude
- Strong relationship building abilities
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
