About the role
Reporting to a Terminal Manager, this role will be responsible for the day to day running of the Express Parcels division. Whilst developing a safe working environment and providing excellent customer satisfaction through maintaining an efficient and profitable delivery service.
Duties
- Cost effective management of labour and equipment resources
- Observe and enforce OH&S policies and procedures
- Investigate accidents and incidents and take corrective action
- Ensure driver Delivery and Pick up duties are conducted in a safe and effective manner in accordance with Toll policy
- Provide direction and support to a team of 5
- Maximise load capacities as per the Toll Service Performance policy
- Maintain standards and disciplines of Toll
- Thorough knowledge of P.U.D. and Handling costs
- Conduct Driver de-brief and audit checks to ensure that pickup and deliveries are completed correctly
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a similar freight supervisory position highly advantageous
- A high regard for safety
- Thorough understanding of load restraints and DG codes of practice
- Background of working in fast-paced team environment
- Current Forklift Licence
