Weir Minerals Australia Ltd, a member of the Weir Group PLC, is the market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of minerals processing equipment to the mining industry, both within Australia and throughout the world.
We are seeking to appoint an efficient and proactive administrator to join our team. You will initially be based at our head office in Artarmon for the first 6 months while undergoing training, after which the role will be based at Wetherill Park. Reporting to the Category Manager - Direct, the role will see you responsible for controlling the flow of information within the organisation and providing a range of hands on administrative support to the team. Your strong organisational skills coupled with the ability to work quickly under pressure will be the key to your success in this role.
Your key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Gathering estimates and compiling quotations to present to management
- Accurately recording and communicating data and maintaining relevant databases
- Preparing and distributing reports on a regular basis
- Assisting management with sourcing requirements
- Administering signed contracts and liaising with the legal department
To be successful in the role, you must possess the following attributes:
- Previous experience in an executive administrative role, preferably within a similar industry
- Excellent problem solving and reasoning skills
- A working knowledge of SAP and MS Office programs
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Sound organisational and people management skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing priorities
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A positive, proactive attitude and ability to take initiative
