The Role
Reporting to the Procurement Manager the role of Pallet and Equipment Controller is responsible for managing and maintaining the accuracy of physical and transactional movement of equipment ensuring the completeness and accuracy of pallet movement with a view to reducing pallet hire costs and eliminating pallet losses. This position also co-ordinates the dispatch functions, including the loading of vehicles and is responsible for ensuring all dispatch documentation is accurate and timely.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Reconciliation of pallets and equipment in a timely manner and any discrepancies identified and rectified immediately
- Conducting investigations and reconciliations of incoming and outgoing pallets
- Ensure that information recorded in relevant data bases such as Navision and 2IC is timely and accurate
- Coordinate monthly stocktakes across multiple sites and ensure that the information received is timely and accurate
- Recording and co-ordinating of inward stock
- Invoicing, paperwork and systems compliance are accurate, auditable and filed according to business standards
- Develop, implement and maintain processes and procedures that accurately record the movement of all pallets and equipment
- Perform regular audits and compliant checks on end to end processes
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Pallet reconciliation & pallet auditing skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across a range of organisational levels, from Senior Management to Driver/Forklift Operators
- Understanding of pallet terminology and processes
- Knowledge of pallet control software and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite including Word & Excel
